Day 22- How have you changed in the last 2 years?/
Well, I haven’t changed much I guess… I’m not in college anymore. No more Gamma Sig on Tuesdays. No more Athens. Way more money. Way more Atlanta.
Looks wise, I have looked the same since like 3rd grade…
Then. With my cousin.
Now. With my man.
I guess I have changed a little bit. I am definitely happier in my relationship, but I miss being in college. I am more...
It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia: ‘It’s Always... →
Fans of unrepentant dickheads behaving terribly for your wanton enjoyment, get excited: “It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia” returns to FX in September for a seventh season. All the original players will be there, and you can expect flashbacks, musical numbers, a skewering of social media…
Day 21- One of your favorite shows
I love the Office! Jim and Pam are so cute. And I nearly cried watching last week’s episode. I love the goofy jokes and Jim’s looks and Meredith’s skankiness. I definitely think it will be different without Steve Carrell but I will definitely still tune in :)
Day 20- How important you think education is
Personally, I believe if you don’t graduate high school, you’re dunzo. Without a high school diploma, you are going to have a hard time making any sort of life for yourself. Of course I believe that college is the way to go, but I recognize that it is not for everyone; however, I do think that people need to go after what makes them happy, whether it is joining the armed forces, going...
Day 19- Disrespecting your parents
I’m not going to lie… I am not a rebel. I never had that phase. I think because of that, my mom completely trusted me and basically let me do what I wanted. I never had a reason to disrespect the ‘rents… but I think it is incredibly rude to openly defy and not honor your family, no matter who it is. Now, I’m not saying that sarcasm or taunting doesn’t happen in...
Day 18- Your beliefs
Wow… how broad is this category?! I guess we’ll start with the basics
I believe in freedom and the possibilities it lends
I believe in love and the life-changing nature of it
I believe that there is a God who is benevolent… and the majority of Christianity
I believe that people are basically good
I believe in the power of the arts
I believe in importance of the family unit
...
Day 17- Your highs and lows of the past year
Highs-
Graduating UGA in May
Getting my big girl job (and paycheck)
Meeting my man in June/ again in October
Moving into the BBH in June but officially in August
Getting closer to my cactus, Jill. She’s not really a cactus.
The snow day(s) with the roomies
Pretty much any night DT Athens
Being on the spirit committee and raising a record breaking amount of money for Relay
Going to...
Day 16- Views on mainstream music
I’m going to be honest- I love shitty music. Love 80s and 90s. LOVE rap/R&B. But I also am getting more into some indie music. I quite like Animal Collective and Of Montreal. I also enjoy Lil Wayne more than a white girl should. Music is just something to escape the moment and release yourself into another world… and I don’t discriminate against any music. It’s really...
Day 15- Favorite Tumblrs
Anyone who is funny/has cute pics makes me happy.
Day 14- Your earliest memory
I remember sitting in preschool with Jenny (who I am Facebook friends with, nice, I know… and we are eerily similar). I must have been 3 or 4. We were sitting backwards in our plastic school chairs (ya know, with the seat back in front of you, straddling the chair) waiting for our turn to do something… I think it was that day where you see how many times you can hop on one foot or jump...
Day 13- Somewhere you'd like to move to or visit
One of my first Tumblr posts was just this question… but I have some new places!
Phoenix to see my aunt and uncle
To go to a World Series game
Hawaii to see Brian when he gets back from Iraq
I’d love to live near a beach!
Disneyland/Harry Potter World/Cedar Point
Alaskan cruise
Day 12- Bullet your whole day
Woke up about 10
Stayed in bed until about 10:30
Rinsed off and called Anne seeing if she wanted to go for a hike
Drove to Marietta to meet Anne about noon
Drove to Kennesaw Mountain and hiked up and down and around the mountain, about 6 miles/2.5 hours (12:30-3)
Drove back to Marietta and hung out with Anne and her fam for a bit
Called my mom to see what she was up to. Turns out she went...
Day 11- 10 songs from your iPod on shuffle
Well, I don’t have an iPod but I do have iTunes… and Pandora and Grooveshark.
-
1. “You and I”, Ingrid Michaelson
2. “Little Victories,” Matt Nathanson
3. “Fireworks,” Drake ft. Alicia Keys
4. “Poke Her Face,” Lil Wayne ft. Jae Millz
5. “U Got a Problem,” Ludacris
6. “Party in the USA,” Miley Cyrus
7....
Day 10- Discuss your first love and first kiss.
Well this is awkward… My first kiss was to my kindergarten boyfriend. We held hands and he gave me stick on earrings for my birthday. Then he decided to give stick on earrings to another girl, and my heart was broken. I don’t even remember his name. Ah, young love.
Day 9- How you hope your future will be
Didn’t we already do this with the where you want to be in 10 years question? Um, yeah. Refer mostly to that. I hope my future is awesome. What else would you hope for, though? Who would really say, oh, I hope my future is going to blow, yeah! No. I mean my future is not something I can completely control, and I’m cool with that. So we’ll just let it happen and enjoy whatever...
Day 8- A time you felt most satisfied with your...
Besides the glory days of little responsibility and great friends in high school (shit was awesome), I would definitely say I am most satisfied with my life now. I feel so much better having a solid job and independence. I have Paul, who is a large part of my satisfaction in my life now. Hopefully I will be even happier after I can get my own place and start to save up some money so I can go cool...
Day 7- Your zodiac sign and if you think it fits...
Well, I am a Sagittarius. I think the only thing that’s cool about it is that my sign is an archer, and I kick ass at archery. I don’t really believe in that stuff, but it’s kind of fun to look at sometimes. I don’t think that the people I know who were born in the same zodiac sign as me are similar to me at all… there is no way a “prediction” can hold...
Day 6- 30 Interesting facts about yourself
Let’s try to find 30 worthy things…
1. I lived in Michigan for a year on 8 Mile Road.
2. I was an archery instructor a few summers back.
3. I just started a real person job in Alpharetta, GA and apparently I’m doing a pretty good job.
4. I am a huge sports fan, but my man is an even bigger fan. This had led me to start appreciating college basketball.
5. I graduated from...
Day 5- A time you thought about ending your life.
I can honestly say I’ve never had any thoughts of ending my life. That has just not been an option. I’ve had some bad/hard/shitty times, but I haven’t ever been that down on myself. That’s not healthy. I understand that it may be hard at times, but things usually get better. I could never imagine making my family and friends go through something as horrible as a preventable...
Day 4- Views on religion
I believe in God and also karma. I know the two are not supposed to be working together, but it works for me. I grew up Catholic and I like the basis of the religion, but I have a hard time grasping some of the concepts. I don’t think the church should be able to say who can love another person. I think as long as you lead a righteous life and respect the man upstairs, whoever you believe...
Day 3- Views on drugs and alcohol
1. I am German, Irish, Russian, and Polish. My heritages pretty much make me appreciate alcohol. I’ve been drinking with my family since I was like 16. I like getting drunk with my family more than most people. Me and my step-mom, example A.
2. I went to school at UGA, the #1 party school in America and I lived walking/ stumbling distance from downtown. Enough said.
3. I have a hookah...
Day 2- Where I'd like to be in 10 years
After going through quite a lot of job interviewing, I absolutely hate this question. How the hell am I supposed to know what I want to be like in 10 years? 10 years ago, I never would have guessed that I would be where I am today (granted, I was 13 and thought that I would be a professional cheerleader- and let me tell you, I’m sure glad that’s not true). I thought I would become a...
Day 1- Current relationship
Hey folks, meet Paul. He is the best guy a girl could EVER ask for. We met through Kathleen at a Gwinnett Braves game, and it actually took a while for us to realize that we were freakin awesome together… but since that fateful Halloween party at my house, we have pretty much been laughing it up and taking in pretty much any sporting event we can. He is loving, goofy, romantic, and basically...
